Another One Bites The Dust

Pops and I have a phrase we sometimes use as we are leaving a restaurant. It is, "That was our two trips, first and last". I said that as we were walking out the door at Uncle Julio's tonight and he said he was thinking the same thing.

It wasn't bad, but it wasn't good. I want great. Justin told us that he thought the fajitas were better than Pappasito's, which is our absolute favorite (beef only, not chicken). Since we like to try it all, we ordered the dinner that had beef fajitas, ribs and stuffed shrimp. It came with rice, beans, pico and guacamole. It was all just okay.

One of these days I might go back and try the Tex Mex, but it will be a while. The crowds are pretty crazy. We had a 45 minute wait on a Thursday night at 6:45. Definitely not worth the wait.

Hi there! I am from Plano and love your blog. I love to find great local spots to eat and will be checking back for more reviews. It is funny you blogged about Uncle Julio's. They've never been anything special to me, but we have friends from out of town (one of them used to live here) and they eat there every time they come visit - they think it is so amazing! They sometimes even eat there twice. I don't get it. Again, love the blog - cheers!

Yes! I'm a Howard Pagan - sounds like your kiddos are from the Hardin Sinners! Ha, ha. We love to tease about that rivalry. They are a great school, though. Our current president was at HSU in some capacity for many years.

Thank you!! I know so many people that love Uncle Julio's! They go on and on about how good it is. But I have never thought it was that great. I thought maybe something was wrong with me. So I'm glad to know I'm not the only one.
